Although Aluminium is pretty cool we also get some useful properties if we use plastic panels instead. Not everyone has room to keep a large sphere in their house 24/7, so if we had a simple way to connect and then disconnect the panels they could be stacked and stored. You build it when you use it. So this picture is a concept for that. The Sphere is slotted together on the edges and then a metal rod (or two) are inserted to hold them together. This means you can probably build it in about 10 minutes… it also makes locking yourself in a sphere quite easy :p
The circular ribs on the pentagon are to add strength to the whole panel and would be repeated on the hexagon too…
